Summer project tasks:

1) The music video will start with me in bed crying and scrolling on my phone after seeing my boyfriend air my messages and instead post on his Instagram of him partying with other girls. I will go downstairs crying and sniffling, and open my piano and play the intro of the song; this will blend into the actual audio. Flashbacks of me my boyfriend, 3 other girls will play. fond and sweet memories will play as well as bad moments of all 4 girls feeling temporary and replaceable; they're giving their all to their partners yet their not prioritised like how they prioritise them. The video will end with all the girls returning home and going on their phones to see their messages being left on delivered, yet all their boyfriends post on their Instagram partying. The end scene is a split 4 screen of the girls throwing their phones on their beds and just falling on their back on their bed.

Task 4:
Lana Shiki; singer of "The Visitor". Her music video's purpose is to create an understanding feeling towards the female adolescent demographic; the idea of her music video being about teenage girls feeling like they're not good enough and the underlying truth of them being 2nd best when in an unhealthy relationship. This shared experience endured by many young girls, can still feel like an isolated situation when in one... this music video is to remind the targeted audience that they are not alone and this unwanted feeling like they're not good enough isn't just felt by them... but by everyone around them.
The music video will contain two types of lighting: light, airy, summery, and dark and gloomy. Scenes containing the darker lighter will be used to communicate the darkness and isolation felt by the young girls in the music video, whereas scenes containing lighter lighting with represent the memories of when the young couples where content and without doubt of feeling betrayed. The actors in the music video will be three young couples, all of which the girls are enduring the shared emotion of loneliness despite them having the company of their partners. The idea is to show to the audience that the dark times you go through aren't just happening to you, but almost everyone around you. The songs slow tempo before the chorus will reflect the lonely times, and the faster chorus will be memories of the couple before their hardships began.
The couples will be of people with different races to display diversity, and the scenes will be filmed all around London in different parks, and some scenes in a house. I will represent the role model through playing piano and lip syncing some of the lyrics throughout. It will reinforce the stereotype of girls being to emotional and attached to someone they love at such a young age, and the boys in the music video will also be a reinforced stereotype due to their lack of care/bother to their partners.
The demographic of teenage girls in this music video as well as the audience, will watch the music video vicariously... relating to the scenarios and not feeling alone. The purpose of this music video is to create a sense of community between young girls who feel vulnerable and to remind them that they're not alone.
