Demographics Research

13-22; this is the predominant target age group for these book and tv series by Jenny Han. The genre of these series consist of teen romance which supports its age group as the time period for teenage girls can compose of growing up and becoming mature by having feelings for boys (mainly) and having complicated and different experiences. The predominant gender appointed is females, more specifically, young girls. This backs the story line and plot as the protagonist's in these stories are young girls growing up and enduring the hardships of transitioning into womanhood and understanding relationships which can be relatable for viewers trying to accept changes and hard situations. Majority of the audience of these series are people in secondary school all the way to university.  This is most likely to be the primary audience as the main character is a young girl who is seen transitioning from secondary school all the way to university. The prime social class for these sequels would primarily be working class- average and majority of the population. The targeted ethnicity that the author has wanted to aim this at is east Asian girls. This is due to the fact that the both protagonists' come from a background of Korean descent. E - students , and casual workers. The typical jobs/ education the viewers hold are mainly the fact that they are in school but have a casual job due to how young they are. Lastly, on the most part, those who live in city's and  near coasts are to be the main audience and readers as the series are set in a beach and town. Both sequels have become mainstream and advertised in all types of settings, however, on the whole, the select and aimed audience are for people in big city's and coastal lines.
